Nico was honored with the EHS Award – Gold Category by Dubai World.

1. Nico established an Aluminium Boat Building Facility in the Port of Fujairah.

2. Nico Oman, Nico Azerbaijan and Nico Kazakhstan operations commenced.

3. Nico won DIMA Award by Seatrade and was a Finalist in Lloyds List Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Awards.

4. Nico Signed MoU with KMTF and CSI to build a ship repair yard in Kazakhstan.

5. Nico achieved ISO 14001 and 18001 certification.

2005

Nico International’s parent company Topaz Energy and Marine merged with Renaissance Services SAOG of Oman and became one of the top 10 offshore vessel operators in the world.

2003

Nico initiated the cooperation that would lead to a successful joint venture with Machine Support BV, a world-leading Dutch company providing laser alignment, mounting services and the patented Vibracon adjustable chock.

2003

Nico marked 30 years of servicing the marine industry. 2004 Nico acquired the industrial and marine engineering division of Fujairah Marine Services & Trading Co. LLC.

2001

The sunken cement carrier “M/V Raysut” was successfully removed as a wreck in arduous conditions by Nico’s diving team in Fujairah and subsequently buried at a safe location with minimal disruptions to the sensitive marine eco-system.

2000

Nico successfully managed the boat-building project of the “TEAM SALALAH”, an anchorhandling tug supply vessel with DP1 capabilities equipped with a 7,200bhp engine.

1999

Nico entered a joint venture with Doosan Babcock for boiler servicing and repairs.

1998

Nico became a wholly owned subsidiary of Topaz Energy and Marine, then a publicly listed company in Oman. Nico is a regional leader in marine services and oil and gas fabrication.

1997

Nico acquired Dart Automation, the leading automation and instrumentation service provider in the region.

1996

Nico opened Adyard fabrication yard in Abu Dhabi to strengthen its position in the oil and gas sector, specializing in heavy steel fabrications for the offshore oil and gas industry and offshore contracting.

1992

Nico was nominated to represent AVESTA SHEFFIELD’s stainless steel products in the Middle East. Mezon Technical Trading, Nico’s trading arm, became a regional leading regional stockist of stainless steel.

1989

Nico acquired “MSG” in Abu Dhabi, offering professional and comprehensive repair and maintenance services to power stations, oil-fields and the general industry sector.

1988

Nico established Nico World, an offshore support vessel-owning and operating company.

1981

Nico established a diving base in Fujairah, providing a variety of sophisticated diving services to vessels and offshore installations.

1973

Nico was established in Dubai to service the increasing marine traffic generated by the oil boom.
